Its four hydraulic legs traverse rubble, ash-wastes and broken battlefields where tracked vehicles would founder, blessed by oath-rites of the Cult Mechanicus before each deployment. Where lesser tanks merely advance, the Onager strides — patient, monastic, inexorable in its sacred duty. This particular pattern carries the Neutron Laser Projector, a recovered Dark Age weapon-relic capable of vaporising heavy armour at extreme range with a single coherent particle pulse. Tech-priests treat each shot as a votive sacrament, the laser's catastrophic thermal bloom interpreted as a holy sigil burned into the enemy's hull plating. Cognis heavy stubbers and a top-mounted broad-spectrum data-tether handle close-range threats and battlefield datalink duties respectively. In the company of [[astra-militarum]] armoured columns, the Neutron Onager often becomes the silent monk in the rear rank, picking apart enemy super-heavy chassis from kilometres distant.
