The Sydonian Dragoon is the close-assault counterpart to the Ironstrider Ballistarius, sharing the same fast-walking bipedal stilt chassis but configured for shock-charge engagements rather than stand-off fire-support. Each Dragoon rider is fused into the saddle through permanent MIU links, his nervous system integrated with the platform's stride-cogitator so deeply that the act of charging is experienced as a single unified prayer-motion. Veteran Tech-Priests of the Sydonian brotherhoods describe the platform's machine spirit as eager — the mechanical equivalent of a hunting hound straining at the leash. Dragoons typically wield a Taser Lance, a high-voltage spear weapon that discharges a paralyzing arc into any target it strikes, or a Radium Jezzail, a long-barrel sniper-musket whose radioactive projectiles bypass conventional armour and induce rapid cellular degradation. Both options pair with the Dragoon's stilt locomotion to produce a battlefield role unmatched in the [[imperium]]: the lance-strike rider, capable of crossing broken terrain at sprinting speed, charging into enemy lines, and either electrocuting or sniping its target before withdrawing in a single fluid motion.
