Armiger Warglaive
Squire of the Knight Houses
The Armiger Warglaive is a smaller cousin of the Questoris Knights, standing roughly two-thirds the height of its noble brethren and piloted by squires — those of common blood serving Knight Houses, or younger sons not yet bonded to a full chassis. Despite its reduced stature, the Warglaive packs formidable close-combat capability: a thermal spear that vaporises armour at point-blank range and a reaper chain-cleaver that can cleave through tank-grade plating with each swing. Two Armigers typically deploy as a pair, controlled remotely or in concert by a master Knight whose own chassis serves as their command authority. Unlike full Knights, Armigers can be produced in greater numbers by the [[forge-worlds]] that maintain Knight households — their machine spirits are younger, less venerable, but no less loyal to the houses they serve. A Warglaive squire who proves themselves in battle may eventually be elevated to a full Questoris chassis, a transition that represents the pinnacle of social mobility within the rigid hierarchies of the [[knight-worlds]]. In the field, Warglaives function as fast-moving scout-killers, racing ahead of slower formations to engage enemy armour before it can reach the main line.

Tactical Role
The Warglaive specialises in flanking attacks against enemy armour, using its speed advantage to close on slower super-heavies and titans before delivering thermal spear strikes. It typically deploys in pairs to maximise simultaneous threat saturation.
