Rubio's journey from Ultramarines Librarian to Grey Knights founder is one of the most remarkable personal odysseys of the Heresy era. The Council of Nikaea — the imperial decree that banned the use of psychic powers by Space Marines — had forced Rubio to suppress his abilities and surrender his role as a Librarian, an experience that was both humiliating and agonizing for a warrior whose psychic gifts were as much a part of his identity as his gene-seed.
